Travel and tourism have a tremendous economic impact on our community. There are about 1,500 jobs directly related to tourism in Lowndes County. Travelers to Columbus, Mississippi spent an estimated $100 million in 2005. That’s revenue in YOUR pockets. Tourism Partnership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. These meetings empower Lowndes County residents and business owners to get involved in their growing tourism industry. The Tourism Partnership is open to anyone. Our mission is to help local businesses make the most of tourism opportunities in our community. Restaurants, retailers, attractions and gas stations will all benefit from the networking and packaging opportunities. The CCVB is funded by local restaurant taxes collected by the City of Columbus and Lowndes County. Tourism Partner Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. To host a meeting at your location please contact us.
